I would not have known how much I desired you
till I spotted the red mark on your neck which you
said was an insect bite but I knew
was an act of love

Today

A sudden intense desire
to be sentimental
If I could write just one last song
would you sing it for me
as the Hemlock sinks
Please do not weep
Would you make tea ?
arrange the wild Lilies ?
I feel the waves swell
the grey river calls me

Samsung beauty mode

How tearless have I become
How untouched by touch
I sink in sleep
and wake in dream
Sunday books and
careless selfies
filtering all wretchedness

Waking up at 3 am
soggy with sweat

Kitchen

clumsy
fingers try to reach
the dried wine at the
base of the flute

The wound bleeds
 fresh blood

I see you smiling
somewhere !

after so many years

The day shall be
gloomy

Wednesday, August 27, 2014

I had the words I thought
and the thoughts
disappeared

you embraced me
like  youthful
green shoots wrap around
ancient branches

It felt warm
like spring rain
yet cold as death

Friday, August 15, 2014

You change
each time I visit you
your nails your words
I dust your books
yellow poems
white coffee mugs
you sing new songs
and I try to smile

"Yo Man !"

"Yo Man !"

While kitchen sink
overflows

there shall be
fireworks
Vessels hollow
Hollow as sky
Tears vaporize

Fragments
of dew and
morning grass
photographs
The birthdays...

Friends

Not friends

I grey I grey
And guitar strings
gather rust

After this
and many of these
Too shall there be

spring rains -

a nice hair cut -

love -

or maybe a lover

but  that wont be
happy
nor really sad

The night deepens

Thursday, September 5, 2013

Needles of quiet rain
ripples the green little pool
Eternal waiting

-------------------------------

Winter memories
mist and napthalene
Getting colder with age

Shadows of a gloomy noon
are dancing

Spring didn't last long
It never does.

Now the moss
on ancient rock
dries into brown dust

At dusk

I drink tea with
your beautiful
eternally absent
fragrance

Fragrance of
angry-wild summer

spring didnt last long
it never does
now the
Summer rain

takes me there
where I know no one
and no one knows me

A wakeful slumber
Till the rainy evening lights

Friday, April 26, 2013

Summer has withered so much
since last year
sighs the green
grass leaves

Winter

You had said once
its only natural
to leave - never to return ..

Fragrance,  you said
in its sweet transience
fades away like
rain drop ripples
on puddled  water.

When u left
I still hadnt finished my tea
its ephemeral warmth
lingering like
a sluggish morning kiss.

You never returned

But the wintry mist returns
again
sunless afternoons
and the wild fragrance of
white flowers

Who shall I envy now ?

I used to look for
myself in your verse

Breathe deep
the fragrance of my cologne
in the alleys of your lines
Water colour days of
brewing morning coffee
and maple leaves

noxious smoke fills
the streets now
The fresh
paint on walls and
doors smells of
turpentine

It has been three days
I have not looked at the mirror
